The MacBook has a screen of 13.3 inches which is the same as the MacBook Air. The Pro version has different screen sizes with 13.3, 15.4, and 17-inch screens. The MacBook is made with a jointed polycarbonate frame but all MacBook Pro and MacBook Air laptops have aluminum uni-body designs as well as backlit keyboards.

Apple has been at the top of the ultra-portable market for a long time thanks to the MacBook. The MacBook Air is arguably by far the most advanced laptop that money can buy. It has an Intel Core i5 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz which combined with Apple's OSX makes the computer considerably snappier than those running other operating systems. The laptop has a whopping 8 gigabytes of RAM off the shelf. Apple has not been at the top of the market because of luck. The company has always been known to produce devices that have mind-boggling features and the MacBook Air is proof enough of this philosophy.

One of the constant features that Apple customers have grown to love is the company's operating system, the OSX. This is one of the easiest operating systems to use and people love the fact that the operating system comes pre-installed in all Apple laptops. In addition to the OS there is a bunch of very helpful software that comes installed in Apples iLife suite. Apple's operating system has a significant market share and there are thousands of developers who make software that is compatible with the operating system.
