Rumors are going through internet stating"Whenever u buy recharge cards or calling cards don't scratch them with ur nail as it contain 'silver nitro oxide' coating and can cause skin cancer"

A message was widely spreading through social networking sites these days saying not to recharge your mobile by scratch cards.The message seems like this: "ATTENTION. .....Medical research Authority of the US have found that new cancer in human beings caused by 'Silver Nitro oxide'. Whenever u buy recharge cards or calling cards don't scratch them with ur nail as it contain 'silver nitro oxide' coating and can cause skin cancer. Copy and paste this status and spread awareness please" Many of the personal websites,forums,face book,twitter,my space etc. have spread this widely.

Talking about this to "Engineers World" officials says that no such study havent been made yet.According to them these are internet gossips.We have contacted many of the scratch card manufactures.Silver Nitric oxide have been used in manufacturing & they don't know anything about silver nitro oxide.Chemical Engineers confirmed that Nitric oxide commonly known as laughing gas have no such side effects leading to skin cancer.According to them only drawbacks they found are decreases in mental performance, audiovisual ability and manual dexterity,symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency including sensory neuropathy, myelopathy and encephalopathy.None of them have yet confirmed that Recharge card scratching using nails result in skin cancer.Now we are investigating who is the master brain behind this internet hoax.Some of the online recharge agencies are under our supervision now..
